UPDATE 5/8/25, 12:00 PM -- The leak has been repaired and water will be turned back in at the dam approximately 2 pm this afternoon. 

Pump stations will be turned back on as follows (timing is based on when water will be available):

• Southshore Drive PS - late this afternoon
• Division St. PS - early this evening
• Boardman Pump Stations - tomorrow (Friday) morning.

A BIG THANK YOU to the landowner who called the district when they noticed water on their property where it should not have been.  A great reminder that if you see something that is different or has changed from previous years, ESPECIALLY water where you don't think it belongs, please call the office so we can get someone to look at the problem before it becomes a full-blown emergency.

WEID is taking the Main Canal down tomorrow, 5/8/25, at 6 am for a repair near Kurz Lane in Umatilla. 

The water will start dropping in Umatilla in the morning.  Boardman will probably see the water dropping by afternoon. 

Until the area is drained, we will not know exactly the extent of the repair, and therefore how long the canal will be down for.  Keep checking here for updates.
